EHC Filter with Varnish Contamination

SERVO iSSUES

Are you seeing issues with your systems servos and valves? If so we may be able to help you identify why you are having issues. With our specialized servo analysis program we can take and analyze any residue build ups on the servo, screen or component. The analysis can help you identify if you have run your oil too long and are creating varnishes or if you have a foreign contaminant in the system such as acid control filter media.

Varnish

Sometimes if an oil is run too long the oil will start to break down and form varnish. You will often see varnish (Dark Brown Particles) where the pad heaters are at on the reservoir. Varnish can wreak havoc on your system long term as it will eventually cause filter plugging and valves to stick and sometimes wear prematurely. Varnishes can form over a period of years or in as little as a few minutes depending on the temperature. The higher the temperature the quicker the varnish forms.

Acid Control Media

Acid Control Filters usually contain a physical particulate. This particulate can migrate out of the filter and into the oil. Once the media is in the oil it may cause issues with servos and valves as well as causing the particulate filters to plug prematurely. If you send in the particulate filters and servo strainer we can analyze it to determine what is causing your filters to plug.
